Good Afternoon!

Thanks to all the NEW families that attended last Thursday nights Newbie Camp on 7/24, and to the parents that were present at the mtg on Monday night at State Bank of the Lakes.

Listed far below is an abbreviated version of what was covered at the parent mtg.

Today is day 3 for the tackle players and the weather tonight is currently being monitored. As mentioned at the parent mtg Monday, generally if we have a “short notice” weather related issue or any other communication that we want to get out “quickly” we use an app called Callmultiplier.

It basically sends a text to all parents that gave us their contact information for their players/kids.

We generally monitor the weather closely up until the start of practice OR a game to make the decision.

Unless it’s a total 100% chance and the weather has been very poor for hours prior with a forecast of no change beyond a reasonable time frame to hold a practice or game.

We will send a TEST message in Callmultiplier this afternoon just to get an indication of how effective our app download was.

We will then review the completed report afterwards of whom was notified, and at what time.

It will also indicate those parents that possibly a message did not complete based upon an incorrect phone number.

IF you do not receive a text before practice tonight, please just email your coach later tonight and let them know so we can gather all the information by “team” to review and correct. Thank you

We hope the week thus far has been going well for everyone despite the heat and the kids are enjoying conditioning week.

Next weeks weather forecast looks better already!

Let’s have a great season and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone out at the park!

Sponsorship – If anyone is interested in being a Comets Sponsor, we have section provided on our website w/details.

Flag – Our current Flag team is 30 or so players. We have four coaches. We’d love to have a few more assist at practice and game days so if you’re interested, please see Coach Adam Pittser. Even if your football knowledge is limited, this is a GREAT entry level place to help kick start a coaching career.

You will still be subject to the required background check and USA Flag Certification process on-line. All this is covered by the Comets.

Thank you!
