Update 6 April 2020

Good Morning Comet Parents

Hoping this finds all of you safe and well. This is just an update to let everyone know where we stand for our 2020 Football Season. Obviously with so many other things going on in our world daily, we just wanted to let you know that we will progress with registration and all other things AFTER restrictions have been clearly, safely, and legally lifted within our area and others. We realize there are way too many other things that most of you are thinking about these days, therefore this email is intended  to lessen any additional stress about registration, etc.

Below are just a few things happening.

1.      Our league mtgs for April will be done using Zoom.

2.      Online registration was supposed to begin April 1st thru the 30th. Obviously it’s not open yet. We will communicate and open registration up on the website when we feel it’s the right time AND the terms mentioned above are met. We will certainly allow plenty of time for you to plan and budget this expense including extended payment plans if needed.

3.      May 9th WAS the date that we previously set and communicated for FITTING at SG Grade School. As stated above…if needed, we will move this to an ACCEPTABLE date based upon future developments and the terms mentioned above.

4.      There has been contact made with our uniform provider and we’ve confirmed latest dates to order, etc.

5.      June 22nd thru 25th looks like the proposed date for the Rocket Camp

6.      A proposed practice start date for 2020 is 8/3; season dates will be approved at the 4/8/20 League Mtg.

7.      If dates stand as proposed above, the ending date of the season will be 10/31/20

8.      Comet/Rocket Night proposed date is 9/4/20

9.      Banquet proposal so far is 11/8/20
