Comet Update – 9/7/21 Game Week #2 Regular Season
Good Morning Comet Parents!
1. Hoping your Labor Day weekend was GREAT!
- Practices this week – Remain the same as last week.
3. Last Friday our RBCHS Rockets won 41-0 over Aurora Central Catholic and now are 2-0 for the season. They play again this coming Friday at 7 PM against Rochelle who is 1-1 for the year.
4. Our 2021 Sponsor banner went to print TODAY! Thank you to all who’ve donated to our program! If you’re at the park this Sat or for any 2021 home games, please check it out!
5. This weekend is our 9/11 games. One of the only two remaining big dates at home for us in 2021. The Fiesta Bowl is the other and it’s held on 10/2 which is week #5.
6. Our 9-11 game this Saturday is generally a very special date. We’ve had one in the past on this exact date and during that day we will honor all current and former Military, Police and Fire Depts, First Responders, etc…and certainly remember and pay tribute all whom we lost on that day. We’re looking forward to honoring everyone again this year that can make it Saturday. We will ask any/all of those listed above to midfield shortly BEFORE each coin toss Saturday to be recognized at EVERY game! God Bless them ALL!
7. In addition to the above, at the 9 AM game…we will be honoring a former Comet Coach, and longtime Field Director for us who passed away suddenly last April.
8. Picture packets for Picture Day being held on 9/13 have arrived. As soon as we can confirm all the schedule details…Team Moms will be reaching out early this week.
9. Our Flaggers JERSEYS have finally arrived and they will hit the field at 8 AM this Saturday Dressed for Success!
10. Thursday 9/23/21 will be Rocket Homecoming of which we participate in their parade at RBCHS. A Trailer float or several pickup trucks and banners with teams separate. That week practice will most likely be Mon thru Wed for 3rdthru 8th, and Mon and Wed Flag thru 2nd.
