Comet Update – 11/1/21 FINAL Game Week #10 Post Season
Good Evening Comet Parents!
1. Last Friday our RBCHS Rockets Varsity won their first round playoff game of the IHSA 2021 playoffs against the 6-3 Chicago Sullivan High School (Tigers) 56-0! They are scheduled to play Round #2 at Home this Saturday 11/6 against an old rival from the past, Stillman Valley. The game is slated for 130 PM @ RBCHS.
2. Since this start time of the Rockets game conflicts heavily with our year end banquet this Sat, we decided to meet tonight and felt it would be best overall to move our Saturday’s events back just a couple hours to make things work for the majority within the community.
a. We plan to start the banquet at 1030 Sat AM. If everyone can arrive then or PRIOR, we can begin lunch close to 11:00 AM.
b. Immediately after lunch, we will go directly into awards for all teams.
c. Following awards, we hope to clean up and pull out of the Park at 1 PM or before provided we can all work together
d. This is the kids awards day, and we will have a blast. The organizers have a great tailgate party plan for this event.
e. Please make sure to bring a chair.
f. Big Dawgs, Chips, Homemade Chili, Dessert, drinks!
g. Wear your game jerseys!
3. EQUIPMENT RETURN – Tomorrow night 530 PM to 7 PM, and Thursday night 530 PM to 700 PM @ Spring Grove Park 2102 Main Street Spring Grove IL 60081
a. Please wipe down Helmets and Shoulder Pads and return clean. These two items must be returned minimally to receive back the deposit checks.
b. Game pants, Practice pants and Jerseys are optional. If they are in great shape, we would gladly take them back clean if you don’t want/need them.
c. If you cannot make either dates this week, please see if a teammate family can deliver for you.
d. NO returns will be accepted at the Banquet. It’s the wrong location for our gear to be stored, and far too much involved being the day of our yearend event.
4. Our remaining Comet teams all had an exciting weekend of football! Our 3rd/4th Grade team racked up a victory at home vs Johnsburg! Our 1st/2nd Grade Maroon team won 7-0 at Union Grove! And the 1st/2nd Grade Gold team won 20-13 at Horlick! GREAT finish to all three of you!
5. LOST HELMET – Did anyone find a helmet left at the practice field the last night of the storm (10/21)? It was left under the scoreboard. It was one of our 1st/2nd grade players.

8. Sat forecast 53 high, 35 low. No rain in the 10 day forecast
