9/14/22 Comet Update

Good Afternoon Comet Parents!

This week we’ve been preparing for regular season Game # 3!

Last week was another great weekend of football, and all before the rains came crashing in on Sunday.

Below are the results from Week # 2. We hosted only two games and the rest were on the road!

The 1^st/2^nd Maroon team won the 2^nd game of the season at Wilmot 25-0. The Gold team also won at Elkhorn 32-13. The 3^rd/4^th Maroon team lost to Elkhorn Gold at home 6-26. The Gold 3^rd/4^th grade team won their first game 12-7 @ Elkhorn Purple. The 5^th graders lost to the RYS Angels on the road and the 6^th graders beat Horlick just across the same town from their 5^th graders. The 7^th grade lost a close one at home 7-14 to Park, and our 8^thgrade team stood idle as Park needs to reschedule their contest.

This week the 8^th graders open the tackle games at home at 9 AM against the (0-2) Wilmot Red team. The 3^rd/4^th Grade Gold team plays at 830 AM @ Westosha Maroon (1-1). 1^st/2^nd Gold team is at home vs Waterford White (1-1) @ 11 AM. 1^st/2^nd Maroon at home vs BGC (0-2) at 1 PM. 7^th graders are at RYS Angels (2-0) @ 1 PM. 3^rd/4^th Grade Maroon at home 3 PM vs Westosha Silver (1-1). Following this game at 5 PM is our 5^th graders playing Whitnall Falcons (0-2). And lastly is our 6^th grade team playing at 5 PM also at Wilmot Black (1-1).

Some real exciting football at home and on the road!

AND Our FLAGGERS will also be playing full tilt at home @ 8 AM!

Our RBCHS Rockets are 3-0 in 2022!

The Rockets will play this Saturday at Home 3 PM against Normal West HS (3-0). BIG GAME!

If you’re youth games are over, please stop on over at RBCHS and go cheer on our hometown Rockets!!

Practices

NEXT week practices are Monday thru Wednesday for grades 3^rd thru 8^th

This is because of THURSDAY Homecoming is being held at RBCHS of which the Comets are participating!

1^st/2^nd Grade GOLD Practice Mon and Tues only, 1^st/2^nd Grade Maroon is Tues and Wed only 530-730

We will go back to regular times the week of 9/26, EXCEPT on 9/26 will be PICTURE DAY!

RB Homecoming Parade information will be shared as soon as we receive it from the HS which is hopefully over the weekend.

Rocket Homecoming

Thursday 9/22/22 at RBCHS instead of Comet Practice at Thelen Park. More to follow as stated above.
