2022 May Comets Football Announcement
Good Afternoon Comet Parents!
Organization Update:
Next Wednesday (5/11) we attend our monthly SEYFA league mtg further reviewing all 2022 proposed rule changes. Hopes are to have this fully completed in June. Also we’ll receive feedback from all communities participating in Spring Flag Football in Kenosha, Westosha, and other outside communities.
We’ve received Comets Coaches Commitment forms from five of six Head Coaches to date. A few have also begun adding assistant coaches.
A few parents have inquired about purchasing helmets. Basically we get the players head measurement, review current inventory with our Riddell rep, place the order, and parents pay upon receipt.
On-line EARLY REGISTRATION is OPEN!!
The only changes in 2022 registration are a few that include Parents Volunteer Agreement and Coaches Code of Conduct and Requirements forms. Please review carefully on the website or during registration, and please don’t hesitate to ask questions. Teams with low numbers but yet eligible to play (15 players), may require a few extra volunteers or fewer home games. We can review as it gets closer to starting.
If you know of any NEW families and kids in our area, please don’t hesitate to share this or any upcoming information.
As mentioned earlier and based on previous enrollment, we will most likely will need additional players in 5th and 8th grade (2022 FALL enrollment). This is key for these teams to have enough players (15) well before we start. Eighteen is certainly the preferred number but we will work to achieve at least the minimum at first. If we cannot get enough, our options are very limited.
The 3rd/4th grade level may have two teams based on early projections. If so, we would split these teams as equal as possible in a draft process with players and coaches.

May 10th 5:30-7:30 & and May 17th 6:00-8:00 – All interested previous Comet coaches should have already responded to Rick Graves, Joe Falasca, or your head coach as the HS is looking for projections to staff and plan accordingly.
