Good Afternoon Comet Parents!

Happy October! This past Saturday all scheduled Comet games were completed. We had three home games (including Flag) and four teams on the road. Four of our six tackle teams notched victories this past week, and three of our six tackle divisions entered playoff weeks within their divisions. The 1^st/2^nd, 5^th, and 7^th grade SEYFA divisions will enter playoffs after this week.

This upcoming week our Flag teams normal Saturday game will be held on this Thursday night (10/10) instead of their regular scheduled practice!

On Saturday 10/12, at 9 AM the 1^st/2^nd grade team will play our only home game of the week against Kenosha BGC Knights (2-3). The 3^rd/4^th grade team will play away in round one of the playoffs against Muskego Red (4-1) at Noon. The 5^thgrade will be at Horlick Scarlett (2-4) at 1 PM. The 6^th grade is at Bradford High School in a 7 PM Sat night playoff contest against Kenosha BGC Knights (4-1). The 7^th grade is at Racine Prep playing AYFA Angels White (5-1) at 1 PM. And our 8^thgrade team is playing RCP Panthers (5-1) at Racine Park HS.

Similar to last Saturday, after all this Saturday’s league games are played, the following weeks schedule (10/19) will be decided on Sunday morning. Please be patient for the schedule as we had several changes this week even AFTER they were already posted. Sometimes even posted games get changed afterwards, so again…be aware of this before making any concrete plans. If you are not a playoff team, next week you will most likely get paired up with a similar competitive opponent.

There’s a strong possibility that NEXT Thursday will also be the last practice for several teams. So this will be the LAST time that ALL Comet teams will be on the practice field together in 2019. As tradition goes, we will have a few special activities announced for that night early next week. Playoff teams that win on 10/19, will most likely practice 10/22, 23, and 24.
