10/19/22 Comet Update
Good Evening Comet Parents!
This week players prepare for regular season Game # 8 AND ALSO CONTINUED PLAYOFFS for some teams!
Schedules came out LATE last night and coaches were notified first. As we’ve stated several times this year, please continue to hold open all dates thru 10/29 with the possibility of games being scheduled for any teams with less than 8 games YTD.
It’s certainly not a guarantee to play all weeks, but a possibility. The league has a responsibility to give all teams 7 games. Eight games if they are able to OR if needed to give another team in the league a minimum 7 games if the division has uneven teams. To complicate matters, some teams play on their HS fields and cannot use their HS field so scheduling becomes even further complicated. Regardless, we (Comets) have an obligation to meet the leagues demand of the min 7 games, or max 8 games for all league teams regardless of playoffs or not.
Below are the results from Week # 7 (10/15)!
The 1st/2nd Maroon team won at home 25-0!
The 1st/2nd Gold team lost at home 6-18.
The 3rd/4th Maroon team lost 12-42 on the road.
The 3rd/4th Gold team lost 0-26 also on the road.
The 5th graders lost another close one 14-15 away.
The 6th graders recorded another shutout win 27-0 at home!
The 7th grade team lost 12-22 away.
And our 8th grade team continued their march with a 44-0 win just across the border!
THIS WEEK 10/22!
Our 1st/2nd Playoff Maroon team plays @ Oak Creek Blue (6-0) 9 AM.
The 1st/2nd Gold team plays at 9 AM at home against (4-3) RYS Crusaders.
The 3rd/4th Maroon team plays at home 11 AM Park Panthers Blue (0-6).
The 3rd/4th Gold team has a BYE.
The 5th Grade team plays (2-5) Westosha 1 PM at home.
Our Playoff 6th Grade team is at home 3 PM against (6-1) Wilmot Red!
The 7th Grade team closes our home stand for the day at 5 PM against (4-3) Waterford.
And the Playoff 8th Grade team plays at (7-0) St Mary’s @ 11 AM!

The Rockets will play this Friday night at Rochelle (7-1) @ 7 PM.
